Number of sports and teams: John Witherspoon Middle School provides
sports opportunities for every student. Princeton High School has a total of 52
varsity, junior varsity and freshman teams covering 27 varsity sports.

Snapshot of Student Population:
Diverse student population with more than 50 languages spoken at home including Spanish, Chinese, Russian, French, Korean, German, Polish, Dutch, Danish, Hungarian, Burmese and Hebrew. Twenty-two percent of our students claim 1 of 55 languages other than English as their first tongue. These languages range from Arabic to Vietnamese.

Faculty:Over 350 full and part-time professional staff members, with more than 50% of faculty holding advanced degrees.

Student Services: The Princeton Public Schools provides supports for students at all grade levels. These supports include nursing services and support for extraordinary medical needs, home instruction for students with long term illnesses/injuries, and services to support students with learning differences. The level of support or service provided is dependent on the individual needs of the student. Music and Arts:  Princeton High School, a Model School in the Arts for New Jersey, features a state-of-the-art performing arts center and its own gallery.  The program includes six bands, three orchestras, five vocal ensembles, four levels of drama, a dance class and a comprehensive two- and three-dimensional studio art program. The John Witherspoon Middle School has an exploratory arts curriculum that includes instrumental, vocal, drama and visual arts classes.  Music and art instruction begins in elementary school with weekly instruction; instrumental music is offered beginning in grade three.
